Mohammad Shami
Man who started tournament with first ball-wicket, got man of match in 1st match and he didn’t looked back. Shami, almost in every match provided Gujarat Titans a great start by taking wickets inside the powerplay overs. Shami finished the tournament with 20 wickets in 16 innings. Mohammad Shami never allowed batsmans to open their arms and play freely.
Yuzvendra Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal after playing with RCB for 8 seasons, was released by team ahead of auction. Chahal shown his class and finished with “Purple Cap” winner. Chahal took 27 wickets in 17 innings. He has bowled tough overs for RR this season. On off days, he got smashed by batsmans, but he was always a wicket-taker and game changer.
Umran Malik
Jammu and Kashmir speedster who was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natrajan shown his class this season. Umran Malik was backed by SRH management after poor performance in first few matches. His extra pace proved to be his strength and in next matches he bowled unplayable yorkers.
He bowled consistently at a speed of 150kmph. Umran Malik also bowled 2nd fastest delivery in IPL 2022(157Kmph). He finished the season with 22 wickets in 14 matches, although he was economical. Umran got selected in Indian team after a massive IPL.
