LSG played their 1st IPL in 2022 season and they finished the season at No 4. In eliminator 1 they lost to RCB.

Lucknow Super Giants side have arguably best openers playing for them. Having plenty of all-rounders in playing XI was their strength. Lot of positives found for Indian team from LSG such as Deepak Hooda, Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan.

In IPL 2023 auction as well, they have focused on quality all-rounders like Daniel Sams, Romario Shepherd, Yudhvir Charak etc. Nichloas Pooran, Jaydev Unadkat and Naveen ul haq are other players LSG have bought.

Quinton de Kock(wk)

Quinton de Kock scored 140 run in LSG vs KKR must win match last season.

Quinton de Kock was 2nd highest run-scorer for Lucknow Super Giants last season. In powerplay, his role was to give aggressive start to team. He finished season with 508 runs in 15 innings including knock of 140* against KKR.

KL Rahul(c)

KL Rahul needs to play with better strike rate for LSG this season.

Lucknow skipper and one of most consistent batsman in last 5 seasons. He is only player in last 5 seasons to score 500+ runs in every season. He led team to reach playoffs in very first season. Rahul has 3889 runs in IPL including 4 centuries.

Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda was find for LSG last season

Deepak Hooda was backed lot by management last season. He got to bat at No 3 in many games, he didn’t disappointed anyone and because of his performances he got picked in Indian team. He finished last season with 451 runs at an average of 32.21.

Marcus Stoinis

LSG is side with many all-rounders, but Stoinis will be first preferred all-rounder for playing XI. In last season, there was lot of shuffling in Lucknow’s batting order, due to which he didn’t got much chance to bat. His main role in team will be to finish the innings.

Nicholas Pooran

Power-hitter batsman who can win you matches with his batting. Pooran is not so consistent in last 2 seasons, but he can change the occasion of match with his big hitting abilities.

Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya had average last season in both the departments, but his economical bowling was always positive for LSG. Pandya has good abilities both with bat and bowl, this season he needs to show his class.

Krishnappa Gowtham

K Gowtham got only 4 matches to play last season. He is getting picked in IPL due to his domestic performances. Playing for Karnataka, he has given many match winning performances. Gowtham can play as finisher and also as pinch hitter.

Jaydev Unadkat

Unadkat is getting good buy in last few seasons, but he hasn’t performed as per expectations. Unadkat is experienced bowler who can add depth in LSG’s bowling lineup.

Mohsin Khan had brilliant previous season, he can also play in place of Jaydev Unadkat.

Ravi Bishnoi

Lucknow’s main spinner, R Bishnoi is a wicket-taker bowler. Young, who will get better with experience. Bishnoi has 37 IPL wickets in 37 matches. Bishnoi will be leading spin bowling attack of LSG.

Mark Wood

Mark Wood will be leading pace attack of LSG

Speedster, Mark Wood is arguably fastest bowler in world at the moment. Wood has played only 1 IPL match, that too in 2018. He missed last season due to injury. This season, he can be preferred foreign fast bowler by Lucknow Super Giants.

Avesh Khan

LSG‘s best bowler last season. Leader of Lucknow’s pace attack, he was opener bowler for Lucknow and also used to bowl in deaths. Being a young, he never looked in pressure and helped team to reach playoffs.
