New Zealand openers and Kane Williamson hadn’t brilliant 1st match with bat. It will be challenging for both the openers to survive opening spell of two legendary fast bowlers. Daryl Mitchell who played in place of injured Henry Nicholls, scored brilliant hundred and it is expected he will retain his place for 2nd test as well.
Kane Williamson need to understand his role and with the bat as well, he needs to show his class as he hasn’t scored much runs outside New Zealand. Colin de Grandhomne has been ruled out of test series after injury in 1st test and Henry Nicholls is excepted to play in his place.

In bowling, Kyle Jamieson impressed everyone with his bowling and wicket taking abilities. Tim Southee was brilliant too. Neil Wagner will most probably will play this match after spinner wasn’t used much by New Zealand in 1st test.
