Match No. 38 of Tata IPL 2022 will be played between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 25th April 2022. Match will start at 07:30 PM IST.
Teams
IPL 2022 haven’t well for both the teams this season. Punjab Kings are at No.8 in points table with 3 wins in 7 games whereas Chennai Super Kings are at No.9 with 2 wins in 7 games.
Chennai Super Kings will be having momentum after scratching victory from the jaws of Mumbai Indians in previous match. MS Dhoni has looked well for CSK this year as compared to last year. Chennai Super Kings is also not sure with their best playing XI this year. In last game, they played Mitchell Santner in place of Moeen Ali.
Mukesh Choudhary has shown improvement with the ball after going for runs in previous matches, but in last game he ripped through MI’s top-order. Dwayne Bravo is also among wickets for CSK. Now it will be time for batsmans to show consistency if they want to do well in the rest of tournament.
For Punjab Kings, things haven’t looked well at all. None of their player except Liam Livingstone has shown consistency and temperament. Batsmans haven’t looked in form whole season and none of the batsman have stayed at crease for long time. Mayank Agarwal, Jonny Bairstow and Shahrukh Khan hasn’t able to spend time at crease.

Punjab Kings management could bring back Bhanuka Rajapaksa back in place of Jonny Bairstow if he fails to deliver. Also, Punjab should look Rishi Dhawan who was in Red-hot form in Ranji Trophy in place of Shahrukh Khan. With the ball as well, bowlers hadn’t able to show consistency.
Kagiso Rabada with the ball hasn’t looked in good form as compared to previous seasons. So, it will be interesting to see what Punjab Kings management and team decide and plan for next games.
