1st T20I Match was won by India by 50 runs after Hardik Pandya’s brilliance both with the bat and ball. Match will be a do-or-die for England.
For England it wasn’t good start with new captain Jos Buttler leading side for the first time as a full time skipper. Firstly, their bowlers were smashed by Indian batsmans, then batsmans were also failed. Moeen Ali was highest run-scorer for England with 36 runs.
Expectations were very high from Jos Buttler in big chase, but he bowled out for a first ball duck. Jason Roy struggled a lot for his 17 ball 4 run. Liam Livingstone who was in red-hot form in franchise cricket also not able to open his account. Once again all eyes for batting will be upon Jason Roy, Liam Livingstone and captain Jos Buttler.
In bowling unit, Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan both took 2 wickets each. England bowlers didn’t bowled well. Line and length was very easy for Indian batsmans to play their shots. Bowlers need to put pressure on Indian batsmans, they failed at all to create on new batsmans in first match.
