Wickets against run of play and not getting big partnerships let Australia down in this series and they will be very much disappointed from this series. Batsmans not looked consistent much. Batsmans except Glenn Maxwell failed to counter spin bowling. David Warner, Aaron Finch and Steve Smith didn’t performed as per their standards.
Marnus Labuschagne is another player who didn’t had good series with the bat. Travis Head looked good with the bat in opportunities he got, but he will miss final ODI due to injury.

In bowling lineup, Australia rotated their fast bowlers in every match, but pacers able to show their class on Sri Lankan. Jhye Richardson will be another bowler, who Australia would like to play regular. Matt Kuhnemann can also be part of squad in future atleast on asian conditions.
