In this auction, they have bought Sam Curran, Sikandar Raza and have also signed Matt Short as a replacement of Jonny Bairstow. Shikhar Dhawan will be leading Punjab Kings this season.

As Punjab Kings is without Jonny Bairstow and Mayank Agarwal, Jitesh Sharma can give flier to PBKS. Last season he played good cameos, his strike rate was 163.64
Bhanuka Rajapaksa
Rajapaksa last year played few good innings for PBKS. In starting phase he played in place of Jonny Bairstow, where he didn’t dissapointed management. As a result of few good knocks, management might play him ahead of Sikandar Raza.
Liam Livingstone
Most valuable player for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022, it would be not wrong if we say he single-handedly led Punjab Kings to win few matches. Livingstone finished last season with 437 runs where his strike rate was 182. He also smashed 34 sixes in season.

Raj Angad Bawa
Talented all-rounder, who was find in U-19 World Cup 2022, Raj Angad Bawa got only 2 matches to play in IPL 2022. As there is shortage of batsmans, he might get chances this season.
Shahrukh Khan
Best suited to play role of finisher. Shahrukh Khan has failed to show consistency in IPL. He was benched last season for many matches, considering his power-hitting and fast scoring abilities, it is expected he will play more matches this season.
Sam Curran
Sam Curran started his IPL career with Punjab team in 2019. After gap of 3 seasons, he is bought again by PBKS as most expensive player in IPL history. Sam Curran was player of series in T20 World Cup 2022, PBKS will also expect same kind of performance from him this season.
Harpreet Brar
Spin bowling all-rounder, Harpreet Brar is likely to play as bowler. He is someone who can control flow of runs and bowl fast overs. He will be preferred to bowl middle overs.
Kagiso Rabada
PBKS best bowler, Kagiso Rabada is one of most consistent bowler in terms of wicket-takers. Rabada has 99 wickets in 63 matches and last season as well, he was highest wicket taker for his team.
Rahul Chahar
Spin department lead bowler for Punjab Kings, Rahul Chahar is another wicket-taking option in this side who can stop runs with his bowling. On turning tracks, he is very difficult to pick.
