June 22, 2022

Adam Gilchrist

Legendary wicket-batsman who is regarded as one of the best wicket-keeper batsman of all-time. Natural attacking batsman who was nightmare for bowlers in his time. Gilchrist hasn’t played much T20 Cricket, but he has still made an impact. Gilchrist was also very good as a skipper. He has led Deccan Chargers from 2008-2010 and Kings XI Punjab from 2011-2013.

Deccan Chargers won IPL 2009 under his leadership. Gilchrist has played 102 games, scoring 2622 runs at a strike-rate of 140.28 with three centuries. For Australia in ICC World Cup 2007, he played brilliant role in taking them to semi-finals.

In Maxwell’s very own words while picking him in his side, the all-rounder described him as “one of my favourite players to watch.”

Shaun Tait

Another Glenn Maxwell’s teammate, Shaun Tait also hasn’t played much T20 Cricket, but his extra pace has troubled batsmans very much. Tait used to bowl regular at speed of 150+kmph. Shaun Tait had lot of injuries in his carrier, but still he focussed lot on speed. Tait has bowled fastest deliveries by a bowler both in international cricket and IPL.

Shaun Tait played 171 T20 matches in his career picking up 218 wickets at an excellent average of 22.41 apiece.
